ABOUT
Tori Tanigawa is a London based photographer whose work centers questions surrounding identity and understanding of an “other” as a result of lived experience within in-between spaces. She works in a variety of media with an emphasis in analog photography, focusing on interpersonal relationships, palimpsest, and abstractions of form through a lyrical lens. The Japanese American artist’s current personal work utilizes layering of people and place in order to explore the complex identity of third cultures and migrant communities.
